RTI Declaration
The Right to Information Act, which came into force from 15 June, 2005, empowers the citizens to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the Government. A citizen has the right to seek such information from a public authority which is held by the public authority or which is held under its control. All Universities and Colleges established by law made by Parliament or by State Legislature or by notification by the appropriate Government or owned, controlled or substantially financed directly or indirectly by funds provided by the Government shall come within the meaning of a Public Authority under this Act.
Citizens can seek information regarding the activities of Sree Narayana College, Cherthala by submitting a written request with details like Name, Address, contact telephone number and particulars of the information sought along with the required fee of Rs.10/-. Copies of documents will be charged according to the rate fixed by the State Information Commission, Kerala. The reason for seeking the information need not be given.
