The department of Computer Science, established in 1995, is one of the prestigious postgraduate departments of  Sree Narayana College, Cherthala affiliated with the University of Kerala. The BSc Computer Science course was started in the year 1995 and MSc Computer Science was introduced in the year 2013. Student enhancement is the major focus of the department. Assignments and other learning activities are set in line with this approach. Peer learning, remedial classes, mentoring, value education, student-centric participatory learning, and proper grievance redressal further ensure the holistic development of students. In addition,  extension and literary activities are conducted. Projects,  seminar Series,  student exchange programmes are additionally  organised. The department has also conducted certificate courses for students of the college in collaboration with IIT Bombay. So far, the department has produced many rank holders and qualified professionals holding important positions in India and abroad.
