The institution has launched a new initiative Community Science Projects to strengthen institution-community linkages, to popularize science and nurture the scientific temper among the laymen. This endevour envisions to provide scientific solutions to the problems faced by the locality by utilising the scientific facilities and the academic expertise of the teaching staff available in the institution. It also aims to make use of the scientific temperament of the local people and their technical know how . This in turn will further fortify the bond between the institution and the local people
